THE PRAKTINA SYSTEM LENSES |
Pierre Angenieux founded a company specialising in cinema equipment in 1935. It has made lenses for still and movie cameras, and for military applications. In 1950, Angénieux released the first retrofocus lens, a design that allows to fit a wide-angle lens on single-lens reflex cameras without interfering with the moving mirror. The Retrofocus 35mm F3.5 was introduced in 1950 and the Retrofocus 28mm f3.5 in 1953. The production of these lenses was stopped in 1968.
